wasatch - pumpkin ale

we had the coolest beer day ever yesterday. Kris' step dad knows Greg Schirf (Owner of Wasatch Brewery) and Cindi Jones (Sales and Marketing Director). He was able to work his magic and get us a tour of the brewery. Greg and Cindi pictured on the left and middle.

Cindi showed us the grounds and introduced us to the Wasatch team. we met a few of the brewmasters, testers, fillers, and got to stick our heads inside a giant mash tun. the brewery was essentailly the same as an all-grain setup but with massive equipment and massive quantities. at the end of the tour, the owner of Wasatch came out of his office, shot the shit with us a few minutes, poured us a glass of Hop-Rising, then let us pick out four six-packs from their fresh selection of beer. super bad ass. and like dumbasses in awe, we forgot to take any pictures.

Wasatch Pumpkin Ale. Delicious.

the remaining free beer. Organic Amber, Full Suspension, Evolution, Pumpkin Ale

on our way back home we decided it would be a good day to brew our next batch, drunkin pumpkin ale, just in time for Halloween/Thanksgiving.

first things first, we tried out the Safety Champ Amber Ale. it tasted great.
